Accountant (Tax & Invoicing)

Tempe, AZ

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • File and reconcile sales tax on a monthly basis through a sales tax spreadsheet for both AR outstanding and in-house accounting program for A/P aging tax accounts 2710 & 2711.

  • Assist on a monthly basis with creating, scanning/emailing, and filing customer invoices for A/R/

  • Prepare monthly inter-company journal entries.

  • Prepare and maintain monthly freight analysis spreadsheet.

  • Maintain monthly scrap analysis spreadsheet, including scrap pricing, and prepare monthly journal entry adjustment.

  • Assist with preparation of monthly balance sheet reconciliations.

  • Write, receive approval and post month end journal entries assigned by Controller or Accounting Manager.

  • Ensures timely payments of vendor invoices and expense vouchers.

  • Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.

  • Performs special projects and completes all other duties as assigned or requested for the general support of the organization.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting plus one year of experience performing similar key position responsibilities at meeting or exceeding performance expectations.

  • Strong analytical problem solver with the ability to accurately calculate figures and amounts.

  • Detail oriented and ability to prioritize.

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills – written, verbal, and interpersonal.

  • Proficient of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel and Outlook)

  • Experience with filing sales tax returns a plus.


Sales Engineer Intern

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Supporting a fast paced construction environment driving exceptional service and results for major commercial concrete projects.

  • Assist regional salesmen through estimating and take-off support.

  • Support regional salesmen by drafting a proposal and contract for assignment projects.

  • Works closely with regional salesmen to support and troubleshoot necessary project responsibilities.

  • Performs special projects and completes all other duties as assigned or requested for the general support of the organization.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • In the process of obtaining a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, Construction Management, or related degree.

  • Basic knowledge of AutoCAD and/or BIM Modeling.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization, as well as with customers and vendors.

  • Detail oriented with the ability to efficiently analyze and organize significant amounts of information regarding plan layouts, equipment requirements, and contract requirements.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and Outlook).

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Participates in and oversees the preparation of accurate formwork layout drawings and erection instructions for Customers.

  • Troubleshoots and resolves concerns regarding structural design with project team.

  • Develops and maintains customer relationships to enhance company’s ability to procure projects, reduce risk, and ensure operational efficiency.

  • Performs special projects and completes all other duties as assigned or requested for the general support of the organization.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Structural Engineering, Construction Engineering, or related engineering degree.

  • Experience reading structural drawings and performing computer-aided design utilizing formwork engineering methods.

  • Knowledge of construction formwork systems.

  • Ability to effectively manage multiple projects and tasks, with an emphasis on thoroughness, attention to detail and organizational skills.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization, as well as with customers and vendors.

AutoCAD / Revit Design Technician (Construction)

Tempe, AZ

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Uses computer aided drafting, prepares concrete formwork layout drawings for assigned projects.

  • Assists in the design and detailing of forming systems.

  • Reviews and analyzes the project documents and identifies drawing and specification conflicts, insufficient information, and missing dimensions while contributing ideas to enhance project productivity and cost-efficiency.

  • Prepares quantity takeoffs and estimates as required.

  • Assists in the evaluation and coordination of material requirements with field supervisors to ensure availability and efficient utilization of equipment on assigned projects.

  • Ensures duplication and delivery of up-to-date drawings and instructions to the job site.

  • Records, updates, and maintains RFI, Product Submittal, and drawing logs.

  • Ensures efficient inventory control and storage of shop drawings and contract documents.

  • Performs special projects and completes all other duties as assigned or requested for the general support of the organization.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 1 year of completed coursework or an equivalent combination of training and/or work experience reading structural drawings and performing computer-aided design

  • Strong mathematical and visualization skills
